About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support a Supervising Producer across Entertainment Tonight’s New York City bureau coverage
- Ingest, log, label, and organize shoot footage and media assets
- Build folders that segment producers can use to write stories
- Transcribe celebrity interviews and field shoots accurately and on deadline
- Monitor and transcribe morning news broadcasts and podcasts
- Flag newsworthy moments
- Support interviews, shoots, and packages for exclusives and features
- Pull b-roll, photos, social clips, and archival material
- Track rights and credits
- Conduct research, fact checks, and content preparation across broadcast, digital, and social platforms
- Provide field and studio crew support, errands, and on-the-ground assistance
- Provide cross-department coverage as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pop-culture knowledge and awareness
- Fast, accurate, and organized under pressure
- Clear communication and ability to work well with a team
- Sharp editorial instincts
- Must pass a short celebrity knowledge quiz
- Degree or internship in TV, film, or a related field is a plus, not a requirement
- Approximately 45 hours/week availability
- Availability from 8am EST to 5:30pm EST
- Some weekend and major award show coverage availability expected
