About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end 5G PHY system activities, from feature development to system integration.
- Serve as the technical focal point for all PHY and RF-related aspects.
- Define and own system-level requirements for PHY components.
- Optimize and fine-tune PHY layer algorithms to improve performance and efficiency of base-station products.
- Drive lab testing and validation using RF test equipment.
- Own and maintain CI/CD flows for PHY performance and conformance testing.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers within the PHY team.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Software, DSP, RF, and Hardware, to ensure seamless integration.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in wireless communications, PHY layer development, or system integration.
- Previous experience leading or managing technical teams.
- Strong understanding of wireless communication systems.
- Good understanding of RF RX and TX chains.
- Hands-on experience with RF lab test equipment.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Matlab or Python.
- Strong system-level perspective in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English.
