General

• As a Tower Top hand you will be working in a team environment assisting with projects, which may include: new builds, site mods, water tanks or on a roof tops.
• Daily activities may include on-site installation, repair, and modification.
• You will be gain knowledge in effectively utilizing tools, technology, and other resources to install mounts, antennas, grounding, cad welding, associative RF components, and/or inspecting structures.
• You will be expected to follow all safety requirements set forth by Federal, State, Industry and RMC regulations at all elevations.
• Position is supervised by Construction Manager.
• Must be able to work at heights up to 1500’.
• Lead crew in carrying out installation, repair, modification, optimization, or acceptance test procedures of wireless infrastructures and electrical equipment.
• Must have knowledge of installation of wireless infrastructure including but not limited to antennas, feed lines, fiber, shelters, self-support towers, guy towers, and monopoles.
• Run top and bottom of tower.
• Able to analyze and interpret site data and measurements.
• Must have knowledge of proper troubleshooting and repairing techniques of steel work.
• Complete all site photos (down tilts, side tilts, azimuths, etc.) and close out documents required.
• Must be competent with tools at high levels.
• Perform lead responsibilities effectively interfacing with all levels of management, staff, and customers.
• Ability to recommend changes, installation techniques, and/or aide in discussion to site layout/repairs.
• Complete assigned tasks within project scope accurately and efficiently.
• Strict attention to detail and organization; enabling timely task completion focusing on the quality of workmanship.
• Pick up/delivery of supplies, tools, equipment, components, etc.
• Maintain clean, orderly environment adhering to company policies and industry regulation/standard(s) (OSHA).
• Climb to elevated heights working safely and effectively.
• Observe project sites for defects and safety hazards that may require attention.
• Attend vendor and in-house training and participate in certification programs as necessary.

Tower Modification Technician – Top Hand

• Must be able to arrive at work prepared each day to effectively lead your team in the safe and timely completion of quality work.
• Set an example to your crew by following company policies and procedures, especially as it relates to safety requirements.
• Manage the on-site day-to-day tasks and the entire scope of work for each job assignment with little to no supervision.
• Ability to effectively communicate with your crew, supervisor, and the customer - schedules, changes in the scope of work, redlines, status, personnel issues, etc.
• Must be punctual, prepared, and ready for what the day may bring - and make sure your crew is too.
• Knowledge and recognition of the hazards associated with tower construction and how to manage a crew to perform the work safely in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations - regardless of the structure/setting.
• Must be capable of utilizing Anritsu, Andrew, PIM, JDSU, Azimuth, antenna, and other equipment as necessary.
• Must be able to give direction, delegate tasks, adapt quickly, work in a team environment, and reinforce company culture at all times.
• Ability to complete various administrative tasks and paperwork including daily reporting, JSAs, customer/job-status documentation, crew time-sheets, close-out documentation/deliverables, identify materials and other resources needed to complete projects, red-lines, incident reports, and performance reviews, etc.
• Ability & willingness to climb towers, when necessary, at heights up to 500 feet, and work freely.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel from home (including out-of-state) for up to 4 weeks at a time and weekends.

Tower Modification Crew Lead

• Safely managing a crew(s) working on new site builds
• Tower / site modifications
• Microwave installation/programming/troubleshooting
• Antenna and line troubleshooting
• Ensuring quality work is performed in compliance with company and government safety requirements

Crew Lead – Foreman

• Install, inspect, or maintain the tower, rooftop, and other cell site apparatuses, as required by various client requests.
• Perform all tasks in a safe manner, ensuring the safety of self and crew by adhering to work practices outlined in the Health & Safety Manual.
• Lead by example, demonstrating an attitude of safety, cost control, asset management, and professionalism to all indirect supervision.
• Manage, inspect, and maintain personal protective equipment, including climbing harness, protective headgear, climbing devices, and necessary safety equipment, and complete daily log.
• Follow daily preparation and planning, by the foreman, to enable efficient travel to the project location and performance of duties at the project location.
• Manage assets/equipment such as vehicles, phones, computers, cameras, harnesses, and safety equipment.
• Utilize email and telephone as preferred means of corporate communication.

Tower Technician III

• As a Tower Top / 3 Tech you will be working in a team environment assisting with projects, which may include: new builds, site mods, water tanks or on a roof tops.
• Daily activities may include on-site installation, repair, and modification.
• You will be gain knowledge in effectively utilizing tools, technology, and other resources to install mounts, antennas, grounding, cad welding, associative RF components, and/or inspecting structures.

• Position is supervised by Construction Manager.

Tower Technician III / Top Hand

• Perform tower construction activities including assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas, mounting hardware, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimizing antennas and lines.
• Read Plans, Site Plans and Tower Drawings.
• Install, connect and test underground and above ground grounding systems.
• Complete work in a timely and efficient manner by planning, prioritizing, and mobilizing staff, materials to meet schedule.
• Ensure Tower Crew Lead is apprised of construction progress, concerns, and deviations from plans or established schedule.
• Identify all materials and other resources needed to complete project.
• Identify construction "punch list" of items to be remedied and ensure they are completed prior to customer’s inspection.
• Maintain and enforce all SBA and OSHA safety practices, perform daily job-site safety inspections on equipment prior to operation.
• Work with Construction Supervisor and Tower Crew Lead to analyze job requirements such as labor and materials.
• Must be able to work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays and evening hours.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete all aspects RMC training classes.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Tower Technician 1 – 2

• Use electronic tracking systems such as Subsite to locate, track, and guide the drill head during bore operations.
• Maintain constant communication with the drill operator to provide real-time feedback and guidance during drilling.
• Identify, locate, and pothole existing utilities using locating equipment to prevent conflicts and ensure safe drilling.
• Read and interpret bore plans, blueprints, and utility maps to determine the correct bore path.
• Assist with pre-construction site checks, including potholing to expose existing utilities as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date bore logs, tracking data, and as-built records for project files.
• Follow all company, industry, and OSHA safety standards and ensure safe practices at the job site.
• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on locating equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• Anticipate and troubleshoot issues with locating signals or bore path deviations, adjusting techniques as needed.
