About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Product Strategy: Work with the broader product team to define product vision, strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals. (participate in big room planning, etc.)
  • Market Research: Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. Use insights to inform product development and positioning.
  • Requirements: Work with the product, customer, support and sales teams, along with other stakeholders, to translate market problems into solution requirements. Write well described features and stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Product Development: Partner with engineering and design teams for the timely delivery of high-quality market solutions.
  • Communication: Ensure product updates, timelines, and outcomes are communicated to stakeholders and executives. Manage cross-functional expectations, to foster alignment across the organization and for customers.
  • Outcome Analysis: Monitor user feedback and use data to drive continuous improvement and inform future product decisions.
  • Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure product success.
  • Backlog Management: Own product backlogs drafting, refining, and prioritizing user stories.
  • Agile Leadership: Actively participate in all Scrum related events as the Product Manager; leading refinements, removing impediments, and making real-time decisions.
  • Product Expertise: Understand and communicate product details as they are today and the vision for the future.
  • Prioritization: Effectively balance product value, urgency, opportunity, cost and risk in all product decisions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-5+ years as a software/digital product manager, preferably at a SaaS or enterprise software company or 5+ years in restaurant operations, using/administrating technology inclusive of POS and Back Office
  • Experience with geographically distributed teams building SaaS products, preferably in Eastern Europe
  • Ability to embody PAR’s values of speed, ownership, outcome focus, winning together and never settling.
  • Comfortable interacting with internal senior management as well as counterparts in customer organizations
  • Enjoy being hands-on, collaborating directly with designers and engineers, and when necessary, getting involved in the weeds of building software products.
  • Ability to work US east coast hours while coordinating with Eastern Europe time zones
  • Hands-on experience with Agile development processes, especially SCRUM
  • Excellent written and verbal communication coupled with strong interpersonal skills
  • High degree of initiative and organizational skill with the ability to autonomously balance multiple projects of significant scope, in a fast-paced environment, across multiple software teams.
  • Ability to clearly communicate market problems, with context, to design and engineering team members.
