About the role
- Architecture and further development of a scalable service architecture (PHP/Laravel), including service decomposition, interface design and stability
- Design and implementation of APIs as well as integration of external APIs and third-party systems
- Data & Performance: database design, query optimization and performance tuning in MySQL and Elasticsearch
- Quality assurance: unit and integration tests, code reviews, documentation, clean debugging, sustainable refactorings and best practices
- Cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Customer Success, Data and Ops, including presenting results and technical roadmaps
Requirements
- Several years of experience in software development with a strong backend focus
- Strong practical experience in PHP/Laravel and distributed architectures (microservices, APIs, data flows)
- Experience with MySQL, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Redis
- Confident in engineering craft: testing, reviews, refactoring, performance, security and observability
- Strong understanding of pragmatic excellence: balancing quality, speed and cost-effectiveness
- Desirable: experience with AI tools such as Claude Code, agentic workflows and LLM integrations
