About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Project Managers and senior Project Controls professionals in coordinating and executing project controls activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with maintaining project budgets, monitoring labor utilization, tracking project costs, and supporting project revenue forecasting.
  • Assist with project billing, invoicing, Work in Process (WIP) management, and Accounts Receivable (AR) tracking to support healthy project financial performance.
  • Collect, validate, and organize project cost, schedule, and performance data to ensure accuracy across project management and financial systems.
  • Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules and milestone tracking using project scheduling software.
  • Prepare recurring project reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators that support Project Managers and leadership in monitoring project performance.
  • Support project forecasting by collecting project information, identifying performance trends, and assisting with budget updates.
  • Assist with documenting scope changes, maintaining project documentation, and supporting project change management activities.
  • Maintain project files and document control systems in accordance with company standards.
  • Develop proficiency with the firm's ERP system, project scheduling software, and reporting tools used to support project delivery.
  • Support the continuous improvement of project controls processes, reporting tools, templates, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience supporting project management, project controls, engineering, construction, accounting, finance, or related professional services.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles and the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, invoicing, or project accounting is preferred.
  • Experience using project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar applications is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP, financial management, or project management systems is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours as required to support project needs.
