About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Overseeing project teams managing the planning, evaluation, design, construction, and rehabilitation of water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure
- Leading multidisciplinary project teams through all phases of project delivery
- Mentoring and supervising managers, project leaders, and senior technical staff
- Managing multiple teams and complex projects concurrently
- Reviewing and approving proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and client agreements
- Supporting business development activities
- Developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, public agencies, industry partners, and community leaders
- Ensuring consistent application and advancement of company design, production, and quality control standards across projects and teams
- Collaborating with executive leadership, operations, and finance to assess staffing needs, resource allocation, and market conditions
- Representing the company through active participation in professional associations, industry organizations, and civic groups
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (or related engineering discipline where applicable) from an ABET-accredited program
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state(s) required to support project work
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive engineering experience, including senior-level project leadership and people management responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor managers, project leaders, and senior technical professionals
- Proven experience managing complex projects, multiple teams, and competing priorities simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, public agencies, and internal leadership
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours as required to meet project and business needs.
