About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process for 300–500 employees in accordance with Israeli labor laws, regulations, and company policies
- Manage the global payroll process, overseeing and analyzing the work of payroll professionals to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency across regions
- Calculate and report salaries, taxes, social benefits, deductions, and other payroll components
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records in compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies
- Monitor changes in Israeli payroll legislation, tax regulations, and employment requirements
- Collaborate with HR and relevant teams to resolve payroll-related issues and ensure a smooth employee experience
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Perform payroll reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare reports and analyses related to employee costs, headcount, payroll variances, and other payroll metrics
- Support payroll-related documentation for audits and external requirements
- Support the bookkeeping team in maintaining accurate and complete financial records
- Record payroll-related journal entries in the general ledger and support month-end closing activities
- Assist with account reconciliations and investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Provide additional accounting and finance support as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of hands-on payroll experience, preferably managing payroll for 300–500 employees
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with Israeli payroll regulations, taxes, benefits, and labor laws
- Hands-on experience with Israeli payroll systems and payroll software (Hilan/Hashavim)
- Fluent in Hebrew and English (written and spoken)
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyze payroll data and prepare accurate reports
- Basic to strong understanding of bookkeeping and general ledger processes
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate, with strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive employee and payroll information
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment
- Certified payroll administrator (חשבות שכר) or equivalent professional certification – preferred
