Build and scale Papaya’s payments network and infrastructure at a global level, including defining strategy, roadmap, and execution of payment products.
Oversee integrations with banks, PSPs, and alternative payment providers, ensuring resilience, monitoring, and optimization of end-to-end payments stack.
Manage product lifecycle from ideation and requirements gathering to development, launch, and continuous iteration.
Work cross-functionally with engineering, compliance, treasury, operations, design, and commercial teams, and engage with external institutions.
Engage directly with customers to understand needs, validate product direction, and prioritize features.
Use analytics, KPIs, and user research to evaluate performance and inform prioritization.
Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success for go-to-market readiness, adoption, and client satisfaction.
Stay ahead of industry trends in fintech, HR tech, and SaaS to drive innovation and thought leadership.
Requirements
5+ years in product management, with at least 3 years focused on global payments, payment networks, or financial insfrastructure.
Proven success in building and scaling products within fintech, payments, or HR/payroll technology.
Technical fluency: Ability to work closely with engineers; comfortable discussing APIs, integrations, data flows, and system architecture.
Customer-first mindset: Strong ability to translate customer problems into scalable product solutions.
Deep familiarity with agile practices, scrum ceremonies, and iterative product development.
Strong understanding of business models, pricing, and the intersection between product design and revenue growth.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to inspire internal teams and present confidently to stakeholders.
Nice to have: Prior work with payroll technology, mass payout providers, card issuing, or embedded financial platforms.
