About the role

  • Proactively prospect and uncover new opportunities from hyper-growth startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders within prospective accounts through outbound cold calling and relationship building to uncover needs.
  • Generate meetings via proactive outbound prospecting and lead activity management to qualify and offer Papaya’s solutions.
  • Work directly with marketing to discover opportunities from leads and set appointments.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Papaya’s products, services, and value proposition to provide high-level introductions.
  • Work closely with sales and attend potential customer meetings as required.
  • Consistently achieve a quarterly quota of qualified meetings and opportunities.
  • Update and manage activities, opportunities, and account information in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate and provide feedback and insights to marketing to help improve targeting and messaging.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as an outbound sales development representative, with a record of accomplishment and success.
  • BA/BS degree.
  • Knowledge of the payments or Contingent Workforce industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively and working independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English (native level), with demonstrated ability to influence others.
  • Prior track record of achievement in positions with significant accountability.
  • Passion for engaging in cross-industry consultative conversations regarding business challenges and opportunities.
  • Hands-on approach – willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done, with a “whatever it takes” mindset.
  • Strong focus on ownership and execution, with the appropriate level of drive to deliver results and meet targets.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and adapt work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals.
  • Strong technical skills; knowledge of Salesforce, Sales loft, ZoomInfo or any equivalent tools.
