About the role
- Design, develop, and manage Pantheon’s compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, and long-term incentives
- Oversee day-to-day HR and compensation operations including job leveling, salary surveys, data management, onboarding, and offboarding
- Analyze HR data points (spans and layers, attrition rates, demographic trends) to support organizational design and workforce planning
- Serve as a trusted advisor to People Business Partners, providing expertise on compensation decisions and market trends
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure compensation and HR programs align with business strategies
- Develop and deliver communications to educate employees and managers on compensation programs and policies
- Potentially manage one or two direct reports, guiding growth and delegating tasks
- Ensure processes are accurate, compliant, and efficient
Requirements
- 6+ years of progressive experience in compensation
- Bachelor’s degree
- Deep knowledge of compensation principles, market analysis, and program design
- Proficiency with compensation management software and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to translate complex business objectives into effective compensation strategies
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make data-driven decisions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional partners
- Experience in designing and implementing compensation plans during periods of significant organizational change
- A solid understanding of business operations and how compensation strategy contributes to organizational success
- Comfortable thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and able to pivot quickly to address emerging business needs and challenges
