About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients admitted to the nursing unit
- Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care
- Participate in interdisciplinary planning
- Coordinate discharge planning
- Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization
- Access community resources
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
- May perform Charge Nurse duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
- Current BLS certification is required
- BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment
- Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment
- Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
- Ability to utilize the nursing process and deliver, direct, and supervise patient care
