About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver care to patients admitted to the nursing unit under the direction of the RN, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse
Provide direct patient care to medically complex and/or critically ill patients requiring extended hospitalization
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals to carry out individualized care plans
Gather and report data
Carry out orders
Perform therapeutic procedures on patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

What you’ll need

Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
Current BLS certification required; BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment
Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations
One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
