About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit
- Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care
- Participate in interdisciplinary planning
- Perform discharge planning
- Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization
- Access community resources
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
- Perform Charge Nurse duties, including duties requiring ACLS certification
Requirements
What you’ll need- RN License in the state you are applying
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification required from day 1 for Charge Nurses
- ACLS certification required after 90 days of employment for other applicable employees
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
- Prior emergency or critical care experience preferred
- Comfort working with vents, trachs, PICC lines, etc. preferred
- Two years of direct patient care experience preferred
