About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit
  • Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care
  • Participate in interdisciplinary planning
  • Perform discharge planning
  • Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
  • Perform Charge Nurse duties, including duties requiring ACLS certification

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • RN License in the state you are applying
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification required from day 1 for Charge Nurses
  • ACLS certification required after 90 days of employment for other applicable employees
  • One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Prior emergency or critical care experience preferred
  • Comfort working with vents, trachs, PICC lines, etc. preferred
  • Two years of direct patient care experience preferred
