About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals
- Maintain all respiratory care equipment in working order
- Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
- Care for chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital care
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and leadership to deliver compassionate patient care and support patient recovery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required
- Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada
- For hospitals performing arterial punctures and/or running blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred
- Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred
- Willingness and commitment to learn, or prior inpatient hospital experience
