About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit
- Plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources
- May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required)
- Responsible for overseeing dialysis treatments required by patients suffering from acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians
Requirements
What you’ll need- RN License in the state you are applying
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment.
- Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) preferred but not required
