About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit
  • Plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources
  • May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required)
  • Responsible for overseeing dialysis treatments required by patients suffering from acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • RN License in the state you are applying
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment.
  • Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) preferred but not required
