About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assume full DOR responsibilities at assigned IRF and LTACH facilities during vacancies or leaves of absence
  • Ensure continuity of therapy operations, including staffing, scheduling, and compliance with regulatory and company standards
  • Provide immediate operational stabilization, including workforce alignment and prioritization of patient care needs
  • Assist in the adjustment of staffing plans
  • Monitor and improve productivity, utilization, and scheduling efficiency at the assigned hospitals
  • Support new IRF and LTACH program launches
  • Train and onboard newly hired Directors of Rehabilitation and therapy staff
  • Assist in establishing workflows, staffing models, and therapy delivery structures
  • Analyze performance data including functional outcomes (IRF)
  • Partner with facility leadership to implement targeted action plans
  • Drive measurable improvements in patient outcomes, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Director of Rehabilitation in IRF and/or LTACH settings
  • Strong knowledge of IRF regulations (including functional scoring and CMS requirements) and LTACH clinical operations
  • Demonstrated experience with labor management, staffing models, and productivity optimization
  • Proven ability to lead in dynamic, high-change environments
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Adaptive leadership and rapid operational assessment
  • Strong labor management and financial acumen
  • Clinical and regulatory expertise across care settings
  • Data-driven decision making
  • Effective communication and team development.
