About the role
- You will take responsibility for expanding and further developing IT security in Germany — from defining the security strategy to embedding it in local structures
- You will develop and maintain central security policies, architectures and standards in alignment with group standards and ensure their implementation across the German organizations
- You will identify and assess security risks, vulnerabilities and threats and derive effective, practical measures to improve the security posture
- You will drive the implementation of security policies and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, BSI IT-Grundschutz) and monitor their compliance as well as adherence to legal requirements such as the GDPR
- You will coordinate incident management at the national level, manage external partners (e.g., SOC/MDR, penetration tests, managed services) and be responsible for KPI/SLA controlling
- You will promote the development of a strong security culture, design awareness measures and raise security awareness among executives and employees at all locations
- You will be the central point of contact for IT security matters in Germany, translate group requirements into actionable processes and support local teams with implementation and rollout
Requirements
- Experience in IT security/information security with a focus on strategy, processes and governance
- Experience with common security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, BSI IT-Grundschutz) and ideally experience managing external service providers
- Solid understanding of network security, endpoint protection, SIEM and cloud security
- Strong communication skills in German (minimum C1) and English (B2) and confident in working with international stakeholders
- Ability to explain security requirements clearly and anchor them sustainably within organizations
