About the role

  • You will take responsibility for expanding and further developing IT security in Germany — from defining the security strategy to embedding it in local structures
  • You will develop and maintain central security policies, architectures and standards in alignment with group standards and ensure their implementation across the German organizations
  • You will identify and assess security risks, vulnerabilities and threats and derive effective, practical measures to improve the security posture
  • You will drive the implementation of security policies and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, BSI IT-Grundschutz) and monitor their compliance as well as adherence to legal requirements such as the GDPR
  • You will coordinate incident management at the national level, manage external partners (e.g., SOC/MDR, penetration tests, managed services) and be responsible for KPI/SLA controlling
  • You will promote the development of a strong security culture, design awareness measures and raise security awareness among executives and employees at all locations
  • You will be the central point of contact for IT security matters in Germany, translate group requirements into actionable processes and support local teams with implementation and rollout

Requirements

  • Experience in IT security/information security with a focus on strategy, processes and governance
  • Experience with common security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, BSI IT-Grundschutz) and ideally experience managing external service providers
  • Solid understanding of network security, endpoint protection, SIEM and cloud security
  • Strong communication skills in German (minimum C1) and English (B2) and confident in working with international stakeholders
  • Ability to explain security requirements clearly and anchor them sustainably within organizations
