About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and serve nutritious and attractive meals to residents
- Work with the Cook to ensure meals are plated and presented attractively
- Understand and respect residents' preferences when serving food and beverages
- Serve and distribute morning and afternoon teas
- Assist the Cook with ordering and rotating food stocks
- Clean dishes after each meal and maintain high cleanliness standards
- Deliver excellent customer service to residents and their families
- Report directly to the Chef Manager
- Work as an integral part of the food services team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Motivated individuals focused on providing the best support for residents
- A current National Police Check
- Prior experience in a similar role within Aged Care essential
- Readiness and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and take initiative
- Ability to work as part of a team in a proactive support role to the Cook
- Excellent hygiene standards
- Knowledge of Food Safety Standards
- Must provide a valid national police check
- Must undergo a pre-employment medical assessment
