About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Edit conversion-focused video ads for Meta, Google, YouTube, and other paid social channels.
  • Turn creative briefs, scripts, and raw footage into engaging short-form video assets.
  • Edit creator, influencer, and UGC-style footage into platform-native ads while keeping the content authentic.
  • Create in-house ads using internal assets, stock footage, product visuals, hooks, B-roll, captions, motion text, and sound design.
  • Build multiple video variations per concept, including different hooks, lengths, formats, and aspect ratios.
  • Iterate on video ads based on performance data, including pacing, retention, scroll-stop, and hold-rate signals.
  • Follow platform specs and best practices across feed, Reels, Shorts, and in-stream placements.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all creative assets.
  • Organize assets, manage version control, and keep creative workflows efficient.
  • Proactively identify and repurpose existing UGC, creator, product, and brand assets to create fresh ad variations.
  • Take ownership of creative problem-solving when new footage is unavailable.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience editing videos for paid social, DTC, ecommerce, or performance marketing.
  • Strong experience with Premiere Pro and/or After Effects.
  • Experience creating direct-response video ads, not only brand or cinematic videos.
  • A strong portfolio or reel showing paid social ad work, ideally including UGC or creator-style content.
  • Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, retention, and short-form video structure.
  • Experience editing for Meta, YouTube, Google, Reels, Shorts, and other social platforms.
  • Ability to work from creative briefs and use performance data as part of the editing process.
  • Strong attention to detail, including spelling, grammar, captions, timing, asset selection, and brand consistency.
  • Fast turnaround, high output, and comfort working in an iterative environment.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong ownership mentality and ability to move projects forward proactively.
  • **Nice to Have**
  • Experience with CapCut, Final Cut, motion graphics, sound design, or advanced captioning.
  • Background in CPG, DTC, ecommerce, food & beverage, wellness, supplements, or hydration brands.
  • Experience working with creative strategists, media buyers, or growth marketing teams.
  • Understanding of creative testing frameworks and paid social best practices.
