About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns and related schedules.
- Assist with tax research and interpretation of tax laws relevant to client situations.
- Ensure compliance with current tax laws, regulations, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to collect and organize tax information.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for audit readiness.
- Utilize tax software and CRM tools to track and manage client tax files.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders via email and virtual meetings.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in US tax preparation or compliance roles for high net worth individuals
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
- Proficiency with tax software and CRM systems, experience with Canopy CRM is a plus.
- Exceptional written communication skills for clear client interactions.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple client engagements.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- CPA or EA certification is preferred but not required.
