About the role
- Create 6 final thumbnails per month (with additional draft concepts as needed)
- Write titles, descriptions, tags, and chapters for long-form videos
- Produce 5 Shorts per week, including writing hooks for Shorts/Reels
- Schedule, publish, and manage YouTube content
- Post Shorts to YouTube and Instagram
- Maintain a simple content calendar
- Reply to YouTube comments and engage with the community
- Review performance metrics (CTR, retention, watch time)
- Track early baseline metrics and identify trends
- Analyze existing content formats and suggest improvements
- Monitor audience questions and feedback
- Surface content ideas from comments and engagement data
- Research Pokémon TCG topics and trends
- Identify high-signal themes (sets, cards, market narratives)
- Propose A/B testing ideas as the channel grows
- Light Reddit participation (sharing YouTube links and engaging in comments)
Requirements
- Strong understanding of YouTube growth, SEO, and analytics
- Experience launching or managing YouTube channels
- Ability to write compelling hooks, titles, and captions
- Experience with scheduling, publishing, and basic social media execution
- Comfortable working with performance metrics and optimization
- Knowledge of Pokémon / Pokémon TCG is required
- Social media experience beyond YouTube is a plus
- Fluent in English and strong written communication skills
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently
- Nice to Have
- Experience with YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, or TikTok
- Basic design sense for thumbnails
- Familiarity with Reddit communities related to Pokémon or collectibles
