About the role
- Lead the end-to-end design process for innovative acquisition and monetisation strategies from concept to launch
- Partner with Product Managers and Researchers to uncover the biggest opportunities for new and existing users via research and analytics
- Design intuitive referral flows and viral features that encourage users to invite friends, boosting organic growth
- Optimize and innovate on the web-to-app funnel, ensuring seamless onboarding and subscription experiences across platforms
- Better connect users with the value of Paired Premium by experimenting with the Free / Premium split, plans, pricing, and discounts
- Balance creative, user-centered design with growth metrics, finding high-impact solutions that move key KPIs
- Develop rapid prototypes and conduct iterative design cycles to refine new concepts
- Deliver pixel-perfect, high-fidelity UI for mobile and web, aligned with Paired’s visual language and accessibility standards
- Communicate design rationale and efficiently steer explorations of multiple solutions to problems
- Support Paired's Design System by promoting and reviewing major changes, and introducing new solutions
- Drive outcomes for our users and Paired through design, focusing on impact rather than just visual output
- Mentor other designers by giving constructive feedback to influence and strengthen peers’ decision-making skills and quality of work
Requirements
- Extensive experience in product design for mobile applications and web with a focus on subscription-based products
- Professional background in supporting the growth and scaling phase of at least one Tech company, ideally within industries such as femtech, self-improvement, education, health & fitness, and related fields
- Strong portfolio showcasing case studies that demonstrate great product thinking, user experience, interaction, and visual design skills, a clear process and results
- Proven ability to work on very broadly defined, loose concepts, as well as narrowly defined, tactical features
- Deep knowledge of best practices for information architecture, navigation, UX, and UI and responsive design.
- Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional product teams, with the ability to quickly adapt and respond to change
- Action-oriented in ambiguity: Thrive in undefined spaces, using exploration, prototyping, and iteration to bring clarity and forward progress.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (we use Figma predominantly) with a healthy interest in learning new tools
- Good understanding of Design Systems and A11Y, to ensure consistency, scalability, and inclusivity
- Ability to use data and user research to understand user needs, and gather insights to justify and support design decisions
