Mid-level Environmental Analyst
Page PersonnelEnvironmental Analyst managing compliance with environmental standards for solar energy projects. Working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure environmental regulation adherence and project sustainability.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead environmental permitting processes at federal, state and municipal levels, maintaining liaison with relevant authorities (IBAMA, state environmental agencies (OEMAs), IPHAN, INCRA, FUNAI, SVS, protected areas (UCs), among others).
- Control, manage and monitor deadlines for issuance, renewal and compliance with conditions of environmental licenses.
- Manage contractual and technical relationships with suppliers and environmental consultancies, overseeing field activities and reviewing technical reports.
- Prepare and review technical reports and opinions for projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Respond to official letters and requests from environmental agencies.
- Conduct environmental due diligence processes, organizing and analyzing required documentation.
- Perform environmental feasibility analyses using databases and georeferencing tools.
- Support and collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Projects, Land/Real Estate, Supply, ESG and Finance) to ensure environmental matters are addressed during project planning and execution.
- Monitor the implementation of environmental programs related to the physical, biotic and socioeconomic environments.
- Support ESG-related environmental activities, such as GHG inventory, provision of environmental data for indicators, review of the sustainability report and participation in meetings.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Biology, Geography or related fields.
- Experience: Solid experience in environmental permitting, preferably in renewable energy projects (solar, wind) or infrastructure.
- Technical knowledge: Federal, state and municipal environmental legislation.
- Environmental programs and monitoring of license conditions.
- Georeferencing/GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS).
- Knowledge of CAR (Rural Environmental Registry).
