About the role

  • Preparation of contributions to Public Consultations and Calls for Input (ANEEL, MME, ONS and other applicable bodies).
  • Institutional relations with sector associations and engagement with stakeholders (meetings, alignments and position statements).
  • Preparation of presentations, drafts and executive analyses for the board, stakeholders and investors.
  • Preparation of regulatory opinions and technical notes; evaluation of projects and business deals from a regulatory perspective.
  • Internal dissemination of regulatory changes and their impacts (structured communication and regulatory audit when applicable).
  • Preparation of regulatory studies and, when necessary, econometric studies and regulatory impact assessments (RIA) of rules/proposed legislation. Monitoring current electricity tariffs and regulatory developments, with a holistic view of the power sector.
  • Monitoring ANEEL agendas, meetings and decisions (emphasis), as well as MME/ONS and other bodies; consolidation of internal recommendations.
  • Preparation of administrative appeals, monitoring of administrative procedures and management of claims/notifications (including liaison with distribution companies and other sector agents).
  • Participation in meetings with ANEEL, distributors, associations and other sector stakeholders.

Requirements

  • University degree (completed).
  • Advanced English (professional reading/writing and ability to participate in meetings).
  • Senior experience (target ~7 years) in the electricity sector and/or regulatory work closely aligned with this scope.
  • Solid knowledge of electricity sector regulation and the ability to critically read regulatory texts, votes and decisions.
  • Analytical profile, business-oriented with the ability to produce executive materials (opinions, presentations and recommendations).
  • Strong relationship skills and experience engaging with multiple stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Degree or experience in Economics, Engineering, Accounting or Institutional Relations/Public Relations (complementary profile to the legal expertise already on the team).
  • Experience in energy consulting, energy trading companies or related analytical roles within the sector.
  • Direct experience contributing to public consultations/calls for input and/or managing administrative processes in the electricity sector.
  • Ability to conduct/interpret econometric studies and quantitative impact analyses.
