About the role
- Technical support to the Institutional Regulatory team in conducting regulatory and administrative routines, with a focus on execution and quality of deliverables.
- Monitoring and analysis of meetings and decisions of ANEEL's Board of Directors (primary focus), as well as sector monitoring and relevant regulatory/legislative changes affecting the electric power sector.
- Drafting defenses, appeals and administrative requests; monitoring administrative proceedings and managing deadlines and documentation.
- Preparing and sending notifications and formal communications to distribution companies and other market participants, including consolidation of evidence and regulatory rationale.
- Preparing opinions, technical notes and internal analyses on regulatory matters, including impact assessments (when applicable) to support management decisions.
- Preparing presentations, drafts and executive materials (internal and external) for stakeholder meetings and reports to leadership.
- Participating in meetings with sector agents (distribution companies, associations, agencies), with strong ability to record, synthesize and follow up.
- Complementary interface with the institutional area: stakeholder mapping, meeting/agenda preparation, identification of relevant agents and support for coordinating engagements when necessary.
- Internal dissemination of regulatory changes (alerts, executive summaries and recommended actions).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Relevant prior experience in electricity sector regulation and/or in related regulatory/administrative routines (aligned with the role's scope).
- Solid knowledge of electric sector regulations and ability to read/interpret decisions, votes, regulatory instruments and proceedings.
- Ability to produce clear, objective technical writing (opinions, appeals/requests, notifications, technical emails and presentations).
- Organization and discipline to manage processes, deadlines, document control and multiple topics in parallel.
- Good communication and professional demeanor for participating in meetings with stakeholders (internal and external), with ability to synthesize information and drive next steps.
- Extensive experience with administrative proceedings (defenses, appeals, requests, notifications and interaction with distribution companies).
- Experience with regulatory and legislative monitoring (structured routines, alerts, reports and recommendations).
- Experience preparing presentations and executive materials for leadership/board.
- Involvement with institutional activities: stakeholder mapping, agenda preparation and support in meetings with sector agents/associations.
- Functional/advanced English for professional reading and communication, if applicable to daily tasks.
- Degree or background in Economics, Engineering, Accounting or Institutional Relations/Public Relations (profile complementary to the existing legal team).
