About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and prioritize the Data Engineering team's backlog, ensuring alignment with company strategy.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements for the data engineering team, ensuring clarity and proper direction.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Power BI, Data Science, IT and business areas) to understand requests and define scalable, efficient solutions.
- Define and monitor data performance and quality metrics, ensuring reliability and availability of information.
- Act as a facilitator between technical and business teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment of expectations.
- Lead agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, review and retrospectives).
- Support implementation of data governance, security and compliance best practices, ensuring compliance with LGPD and other regulations.
- Work on the evolution of the company's data architecture, driving Data Lake, Data Mesh or Data Warehouse initiatives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related fields.
- Experience as a Product Owner or managing products/projects focused on data engineering.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) and tools such as Jira, Confluence or similar.
- Familiarity with data architectures and pipelines, including ETL/ELT.
- Experience with SQL databases.
- Knowledge of tools such as Power BI and Looker.
- Understanding of concepts such as Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Mesh, APIs and data integration.
- Knowledge of metrics, bottleneck identification and optimization opportunities.
- Strategic vision to define and prioritize a product roadmap aligned with business objectives.
