About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the mapping of technology processes, risks, and controls, ensuring adherence to SOX requirements and industry best practices.
- Take a leading role in reviewing the SOX matrix, defining testing approaches, and conducting gap analyses for complex technology environments.
- Plan, review, and validate ITGC and automated control tests, ensuring technical consistency and quality of conclusions.
- Serve as a technical reference for control design and improvement discussions with IT and product teams.
- Manage the relationship with external auditors, leading meetings, technical discussions, and resolution of critical issues.
- Critically evaluate and approve action/remediation plans, monitoring their execution and effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for automation, rationalization, and maturity improvement of controls.
- Support the technical development of mid-level analysts, acting as a mentor and focal point for the area.
- Report status, risks, and areas of concern to leadership in a structured and strategic manner.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge and proven experience with SOX applied to technology.
- Solid experience in IT internal controls, including complex environments and automated controls.
- Strong track record in supporting external and internal audits, with the ability to provide technical justification.
- To stand out in this role, it would be advantageous if you also have:
- Relevant experience at a Big Four firm.
- Strong practical knowledge of ITIL, COBIT, and COSO.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies.
- Experience in cloud computing environments, microservices, and modern architecture.
