About the role

  • Manage large-scale, high-criticality database environments, ensuring availability, performance, and security.
  • Continuously monitor environments, proposing improvements and new monitoring and observability strategies.
  • Analyze and optimize database performance and the associated infrastructure.
  • Create, maintain, and evolve technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Provision new database environments.
  • Execute migrations, upgrades, and patching, ensuring stability and adherence to best practices.
  • Work on automation and continuous improvement of the infrastructure, aligned with DevOps culture and infrastructure as code.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience with Oracle Database and Exadata environments.
  • Experience monitoring and analyzing infrastructure and database behavior.
  • Experience with Oracle tools and technologies, such as:
  • - Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • - Oracle Database Vault
  • - Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
  • - Oracle RAC
  • - Oracle Data Guard
  • - Oracle RMAN
  • Experience with automation and infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and culture.
  • Experience with Shell scripting and Python.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or OCI).
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with other databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Cassandra, and MongoDB.
