About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor the health of a large merchant base using analyses in Metabase such as the consumer funnel, SSS (same-store sales) and its decompositions by driver, base "water-tank" metrics, ramp curves by cohort and estimated checkout share by vertical.
- Identify, from the data, where the gaps and opportunities are: which metric is ramping below expectations, which vertical has the largest share gap, which behavioral signals precede churn, and define the appropriate response for each scenario.
- Design and operate scaled engagement strategies with communication cadences segmented by behavior and lifecycle, and automated playbooks for onboarding, reactivation, upsell and win-back that impact hundreds of merchants simultaneously.
- Work directly with merchants in cases where data indicates individual outreach yields disproportionate return, high TPV (Total Payment Volume) at risk, relevant unexplored potential, or technical integration issues with measurable impact.
- Provide base patterns as input to Product and Marketing teams.
- Report base metrics regularly to Supply, Operations and Leadership, with analyses that answer business questions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in analytical roles that interface with commercial teams such as growth, CRM, performance marketing, revenue operations or equivalent.
- SQL as a daily working tool. You extract your own analyses without depending on the data team for each query.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation or CRM platforms such as Customer.io, Braze, HubSpot, Klaviyo, RD Station or similar.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to arrive at an actionable recommendation: given a set of numbers, identify what is out of pattern, formulate hypotheses about causes and define the next step.
- Familiarity with funnel metrics, cohorts, churn, LTV and lifecycle metrics.
- Experience working with large bases through behavioral segmentation, scaled strategies and prioritization logic based on impact.
- Clear and concise written communication for different contexts: from a reactivation message to a specific merchant to a performance analysis for leadership.
