About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with the Associate Director to develop and execute competitive pricing strategies aligned with revenue and market objectives.
- Conduct market and competitive analyses to inform pricing decisions and identify growth opportunities.
- Oversee the preparation, validation, and submission of government pricing reports (e.g., ASP, AMP, Best Price, and 340B) while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Partner with Legal, Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to align pricing, contracting, and compliance efforts with organizational goals.
- Interpret complex regulations, manage audits, and ensure adherence to government program requirements such as those outlined by CMS and the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program.
- Identify inefficiencies in pricing and reporting systems, implement improvements, and streamline processes.
- Mentor and lead a team of professionals, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
- Leverage data analytics to support pricing forecasts, rebate strategies, and actionable business insights.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field.
- At least five years (5+) of progressive experience in commercial pricing, government programs, or contract strategy within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with at least three (3+) years focused on generic pharmaceuticals.
- Skilled in evaluating market trends and creating pricing strategies that drive profitability and enhance market competitiveness.
- Experienced in utilizing pricing tools, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Vistex), and advanced analytics software.
- Adept at understanding and applying complex regulations to inform and guide corporate decision-making.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and establish partnerships across multiple departments.
- Demonstrated ability to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with revenue, compliance, and market considerations.
- Strong ability to leverage data and predictive modeling for informed pricing decisions and projections.
- Proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and implementing systematic improvements.
- Exceptional ability to present complex pricing strategies and compliance issues in a clear, actionable manner.
