About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the monthly accounting close process by extracting, organizing and validating financial and accounting data, and reviewing account classifications, cost centers and projects.
Perform financial and accounting allocations and apportionments, ensuring correct distribution across cost centers, projects and accounts according to institutional criteria.
Organize and consolidate financial information from the monthly close to support Controllership and FP&A, contributing to management reporting and decision-making.
Assist with analyses related to cash and accrual bases, identifying provisions, adjustments and accounting variances.
Contribute to the maintenance of the chart of accounts, ensuring organization, traceability and consistency of financial information.
Act as an interface with outsourced accounting, preparing source files, clarifying operational queries and monitoring responses from the accounting firm.
Support accounting reconciliation processes and external audits by organizing documentary evidence, reports and providing support for financial analyses.
Record and update closing criteria, assumptions and closing information, contributing to process continuity and standardization.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must reside in São Paulo, SP or the surrounding metropolitan area.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Knowledge of account classification, cost centers, chart of accounts, reconciliations and close routines.
Advanced Excel skills.
Microsoft Office – intermediate/advanced.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for performing routines and controlling financial information.
Analytical ability to identify inconsistencies and support accounting and management analyses.
Good communication skills and ability to interact with different teams and stakeholders.
Proactive, organized profile with a strong sense of responsibility.
Time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
Adaptability and interest in continuous process improvement.
