Administrator – In Training

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in analyzing operations within a long-term care nursing facility
- Act as liaison between the facility, residents, families, and outside community
- Compile and develop reports on budget projections, revenue, and expenses
- Model the organization's mission, vision, and values
- Develop and maintain relationships with community groups, hospital leadership, and physicians
- Monitor industry regulations, laws, and compliance updates and implement changes as appropriate
- Study Federal and State regulations and industry best practices
- Monitor staffing levels and adhere to industry and company standards
- Assist in executing policy and procedural changes
- Assist with HR issues and risk management situations
- Assist with capital improvements and safety programs
- Participate in advisory committees
- Develop relationships with HR, Therapy, Clinical, and Finance support teams
- Assist with vendor contract negotiations under the direction of the Preceptor
- Support clinical efforts by understanding QA measures and holding people accountable
- Monitor collections and accounts receivable daily
- Develop and execute ideas to increase employee engagement and minimize turnover
- Assist in managing and overseeing employees, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, rewards, discipline, complaint handling, problem resolution, and terminations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Healthcare Administration or Business preferred
- Master's degree or MBA preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers and employees
- Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products
- Training position with direct oversight by a licensed Precepting Administrator
- Willingness to leave Utah and work in an employer building in one of the listed states, including Ohio
