About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You support preparatory financial accounting, particularly the careful coding and recording of incoming invoices.
  • You reconcile outstanding or in-transit items in close coordination with our tax office/accounting firm.
  • You proactively remind the team to submit all relevant documents on time and follow up on outstanding items.
  • You review invoices carefully for accuracy and completeness.
  • You create outgoing invoices and credit notes using our ERP system Xentral in close coordination with the team.
  • You perform additional supporting tasks in accounting and finance.
  • You onboard new employees into our expense system (Moss) and support expense claim processing.
  • You manage our virtual card solution Moss — including systematic coding of receipts.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You have completed commercial vocational training or hold a degree in business administration — alternatively you bring several years of professional experience in preparatory accounting.
  • You have solid knowledge of DATEV Unternehmen Online and ideally have already worked with Smart-IT.
  • You have experience with virtual card solutions such as Moss, Pleo or comparable tools.
  • You are familiar with ERP systems like Xentral or have experience with similar systems.
  • You work independently, in a structured way, and with a high level of accuracy and reliability.
  • You show initiative and a strong sense of responsibility and communicate clearly, openly and solution-oriented — both internally and externally.
  • You have a good understanding of digital tools and processes and actively support the further development of our accounting workflows.
  • You have excellent written and spoken German (C2 level) and good English skills (at least B2).
