About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Overseeing and directing all consumer and indirect loan funding activities across the credit union.
- Leading a team of funders while actively participating in funding functions to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant loan disbursements.
- Managing funding workflows, service level agreements (SLAs), and queue prioritization to ensure optimal turnaround times and high-quality member experience.
- Optimizing processes to impact member service outcomes, providing compliance oversight, and completing performance management responsibilities.
- Reinforcing adherence to policies including fraud prevention and verification procedures.
- Monitoring individual and team productivity, quality, and service metrics.
- Contributing to company innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum five years’ (5) experience in a consumer lending role with escalated authority and funding experience, required.
- Prior supervisory experience required, preferably in a lending environment.
- Experience with indirect lending channels (dealer networks, CUDL) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, independently managing a complex pipeline of loans to be funded.
- Proven success meeting or exceeding individual and organizational professional goals.
- Demonstrate ability to effectively work at a fast pace and in a changing environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with credit union staff and external support partners, including dealers and dealer representatives.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Must be proficient in common office computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Origence Arc OS and similar).
