Claims Representative II – Trainee

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with basic, non-complex claims under supervision
- Learn best practices, procedures, and customer-focused service standards
- Accurate preparation of claim file documentation
- Verification of coverages
- Setting/adjusting reserves
- Making appropriate contacts
- Identifying subrogation opportunities
- Achieving best practices type settlements
- Issue payments within authority to appropriate parties
- Follow established procedures for completing work tasks
- Take advantage of available resources to complete work efficiently
- Establish procedures to remain aware of issues and track results
- Successfully complete prescribed professional education courses
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Adjuster’s license or willing to obtain one as required
- Experience in a customer service oriented position preferred
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Effective inter-personal skills
- Personal Computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft products
- Ability to work within a team-oriented, fast-paced, customer-focused environment
