About the role
- Provide technical implementation and architectural guidance for Workday integrations across internal and third‑party systems
- Lead the end‑to‑end integration lifecycle, from solution design and standards definition through deployment and production support
- Design, develop, and optimize integrations using Workday Studio, cloud connectors, EIBs/iLoads, and Payroll integrations (PECI)
- Drive integration patterns leveraging REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and middleware platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and security
- Establish and maintain integration standards, technical documentation, and best practices across the PX portfolio.
- Partner closely with PX, IT, Security, and external vendors to deliver complex, cross‑functional initiatives
- Lead and support PX system release cycles, including integration testing, cutover, and post‑implementation stabilization
- Proactively monitor integrations, troubleshoot complex issues, and continuously improve operational resiliency
- Mentor and guide other developers—elevating overall team capability and technical maturity
- Stay current on emerging integration trends, including cloud platforms, APIs, and AI/LLM‑enabled solutions
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience delivering enterprise integrations within the Workday ecosystem
- Advanced expertise with Workday Studio (required), cloud connectors, EIBs, and payroll integrations
- Strong command of XSLT/XML and complex Workday reporting (custom reports, calculated fields, object models, BIRT)
- Demonstrated success translating business requirements into scalable, sustainable integration designs
- Solid understanding of global PX processes and enterprise PX technology landscapes
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and modern integration patterns
- Knowledge of security and identity concepts such as OAuth, SAML, and secure data exchange
- Proficiency or strong working knowledge of SQL, Java, Python, and JavaScript
- Experience contributing to or influencing enterprise system architecture decisions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Self‑directed, disciplined, and comfortable operating with a high level of ownership.
