Provide legal assistance as requested by divisional business clients and attorneys
Conduct in-depth legal research to analyze, interpret, and draw conclusions regarding state & federal statutes, regulations, case law
Draft legal memoranda, reports, and correspondence for attorney and divisional clients
Provide legal and compliance services to divisional clients and attorneys
Maintain comprehensive and organized matter files while adhering to confidentiality and ethical standards
Consult with divisional clients, attorneys, and other third parties to gather information and provide updates on tasks and projects
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college
Paralegal certification from an ABA accredited program
5+ years of paralegal experience
Knowledge of life insurance, annuity, and pension products, contract disputes, and/or state and federal regulatory compliance regarding trusts, probate, estates, guardianships, conservatorships, and power of attorney
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working on multiple projects and prioritizing work streams
Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
