About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently manages all lubricant purchases and delivery fulfilment for entire fleet across the world on a 24-7 basis (approx 1,000 orders per year)
- Reviewing vessel-manager approved requisition raised by vessels for reasonability and confirming availability with suppliers in specific ports
- Placing orders with pre-identified suppliers or alternative suppliers (as required) by preparing purchase orders for approvals and issuing these
- Coordinate Delivery Operations planning with suppliers and ensure actual deliveries are performed smoothly
- Execute Post-Delivery Operations follow-up such as ensuring delivery orders are received for processing and reviewing supplier invoices for accuracy before these are sent for processing
- Manage suppliers on a strategic basis to ensure best service
- Perform Weekly Bunker Operations Duty (on rostered duty week) for entire fleet across the world on a 24-7 basis
- Management of Physical Delivery Operations including coordinating supply operations with suppliers as well as conducting unannounced Inspection of Physical Bunker Operations on selected vessels to ensure compliance of process and integrity of quantity supplied
- Post Delivery Operations follow-up which includes detailed review of unusual Bunker Quantity Survey reports and investigating unusual variances or deviation from procedures
- Review of 100% of ISO8217 fuel quality test and GCMS reports from labs
- Advising vessel managers and vessels of precautions to note for suspect batches of fuel as well as following-up by lodging claims against suppliers
- Conduct overseas unannounced Inspection of Physical Bunker Operations on selected vessels to ensure compliance of process and integrity of quantity supplied
- Supports Post Delivery Operations close-off specifically by following-up with suppliers and surveyors on unusual issues surfaced by BQS survey reports

Requirements
What you’ll need- Diploma in Supply Chain, Marine Engineering + 5 years Maritime Experience ; or Marine Engineering CoC 5 and above + shipboard bunkering experience
- Good Excel Modelling and Data Analysis capabilities
- Basic proficiency in MS Word and PPT
- Procurement and supply chain knowledge
- Good MS Office skills including the use of Outlook and Excel
- Basic power automation and data analytics skills would be an advantage
