About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting and accounting activities for Buenos Aires, Argentina.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing in accordance with local GAAP (NCIF).
- Prepare annual statutory financial statements, including Notes to the Financial Statements, under NCIF.
- Guarantee full compliance with national and municipal tax requirements.
- Coordinate with tax advisors, regionalTax, and HQ Tax on fiscal interpretations and compliance.
- Act as key Finance stakeholder for Oracle GFS localization.
- Ensure strict compliance with Group policies: No CSR – No Payment Vendor onboarding & procurement rules.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5–10 years of experience in accounting, tax, controlling, and external audit in shipping and logistics.
- Strong knowledge of: NCIF / COL-GAAP (Decreto 2420 and updates), tax regulations (IVA, Renta, etc), Payroll and social security (Electronic invoicing (Factura Electrónica) and National Customs procedures.
- Bilingual: Spanish native / English Advanced.
- ERP knowledge: Oracle, SAP, or similar (Oracle preferred).
- Advanced Excel (financial analysis, reconciliations, data validation).
