About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of compliance policies, procedures, and controls
Ensure policies align with international container shipping standards
Track and interpret regulatory changes worldwide
Manage the level 1 sanctions screening analysts and review level 2 escalations
Collaborate with business units to embed robust screening processes
Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of existing compliance programs
Assist with inquiries into potential non-compliance incidents
Design and deliver targeted training modules for employees

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration, Accountancy or Information Technology or equivalent field
Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a compliance role within a multinational corporation, preferably in the container shipping or related industry
Upholds ethical standards and adapts to evolving regulatory landscapes
Excels in cross-functional settings, fostering a cooperative environment with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrates initiative, accountability, ownership and the ability to mentor junior team members and influence broader corporate behavior.
