About the role
- Reviewing engineering calculations and cost analysis
- Assist Strategy and Standards Engineer on specific transmission line standard designs, processes, and procedures that make up the PG&E transmission line system
- Assist Strategy and Standards Engineer with updates and enhancements to engineering drawings
- Mapping records to business processes for transmission line encroachments
- Assist in data entry for risk models
- The successful intern will have the opportunity to lead and/or support activities as described above working with a team of experienced transmission line engineers
- Additionally, the intern will gain knowledge of the larger Electrical Operations organization through the work they will be performing.
Requirements
- Qualified candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, History, Public Policy, or related field at an accredited University
- Students must be continuing their education towards degree during and/or after the internship
- 3.0 GPA or greater in both cumulative GPA and major GPA
- Ability to work in a team environment and support fellow team members
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Takes initiative and can work independently with minimal direction
- PG&E is unable to provide VISA sponsorship to students on an F-1, J-1 or other student visa for this position.
