About the role
- Work alongside experienced engineers to ensure excellent service for substation and transmission line projects.
- Actively promote safe practices and conduct in accordance with the Corporate Safety policy.
- Foster teamwork, innovation, and embrace new approaches.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality design products on budget and on time.
- Participate in project walkdown and project meetings.
- Identify SCADA deficiencies and prepare SCADA topology.
- Provide construction drawing reviews and engage with vendors on training.
- Troubleshoot automation equipment malfunctions and support user authentication applications.
Requirements
- Earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering degree or related discipline at an accredited University.
- Must be continuing their education toward a degree during and/or after the internship
- Desired: EIT or FE certification
- 3.0 GPA or greater in both cumulative GPA and major GPA
- Strong programming skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Engineering experience in utilities, municipalities, construction, or engineering consultation
- Ability to work in a team environment and support fellow team members
- Takes initiative and can work independently with minimal direction
