About the role
- Develop technical studies and reports
- Provide guidance to contractors and outside vendors
- Conduct project walkdowns and work with project team to establish scope of work, schedule, and cost commitments
- Prepare cost estimates
- Investigate resources required to complete engineering and project-related tasks
- Establish engineering schedule
- Prepare project forecast for engineering
- Review and approve project material procurement list, vendor drawings, equipment specification updates, and engineering material requests
- Provide construction support and evaluate and make recommendations to resolve field construction problems
- Conduct walkdowns and design review meetings
- Approve reports, new drawings, and revisions to existing drawings for projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering degree or a related technical discipline from an accredited curriculum in the US or the equivalent from outside the US
- Active California PE license, Civil or Structural
- 3 years of experience in civil or structural engineering and design
- Familiar with ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360 and California Building Code
- Familiar with SAP2000 or similar structural analysis program
