About the role

  • Develop technical studies and reports
  • Provide guidance to contractors and outside vendors
  • Conduct project walkdowns and work with project team to establish scope of work, schedule, and cost commitments
  • Prepare cost estimates
  • Investigate resources required to complete engineering and project-related tasks
  • Establish engineering schedule
  • Prepare project forecast for engineering
  • Review and approve project material procurement list, vendor drawings, equipment specification updates, and engineering material requests
  • Provide construction support and evaluate and make recommendations to resolve field construction problems
  • Conduct walkdowns and design review meetings
  • Approve reports, new drawings, and revisions to existing drawings for projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering degree or a related technical discipline from an accredited curriculum in the US or the equivalent from outside the US
  • Active California PE license, Civil or Structural
  • 3 years of experience in civil or structural engineering and design
  • Familiar with ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360 and California Building Code
  • Familiar with SAP2000 or similar structural analysis program
