About the role
- Support transmission and distribution protection engineering projects and M&O activities under supervision.
- Assist with protection design requirements, relay settings documentation, and development of testing procedures.
- Support review and analysis of system disturbances, relay operations, and operating events.
- Assist in preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, reports, and engineering records.
- Support equipment evaluation, approval processes, and protection standards development.
- Collaborate with engineers, field personnel, and other stakeholders to support protection engineering activities.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in a full-time capacity at an accredited university.
- Must be continuing education and returning to school following the internship.
- Interest in power systems and electric utility engineering.
- Coursework in power systems, protection, or controls.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow established engineering processes.
