About the role
- Supports the creation, maintenance, and governance of procurement master data, including vendor, material, contract, and pricing data.
- Provides support for questions, issues, and problems for an assigned dataset.
- Measures and monitors data management maturity for an assigned dataset.
- Collaborates with Procurement SMEs to define metadata for subject data components.
- Identifies data accuracy issues and associated business process weaknesses.
- Executes policies and standards established by the data governance program.
- Maintains and demonstrates strong understanding of data standards and policies.
- Analyzes data that does not align with requirements and recommend corrective actions.
- Actively participates in the organization’s data governance processes, tools and programs.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or MIS.
- 2 years of experience in data management, data governance, data quality, reference (master) data management, and/or designing and implementing functional systems and data in a structured process.
- Knowledge of data management best practices, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Understanding of data governance landscape, processes, and design principles.
- Effective customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies.
- Prior experience working with ERP systems (i.e., SAP) and procurement platforms (i.e., Ariba).
