About the role
- Work alongside PG&E Project Engineers.
- Provide engineering, project management, and technical support to O&M staff.
- Engage in projects related to improvements to power generation and infrastructure facilities.
- Lead and/or support activities working with a team of experienced Project Engineers.
- Gain knowledge of the larger Hydro organization through the work performed.
Requirements
- Earning a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Students must be continuing their education with returning back to school in the Fall of 2026 full time.
- Must have a valid driver’s license prior to start date.
- Students must be in good academic standing.
- Be able to accommodate field location work fifty (50) percent of the time.
- Desired: EIT or FE certification
- Academic school projects related to Utility or Energy Hydroelectric listed on resume
- Prior PG&E internship
- 3.0 GPA or greater
- Engineering experience in utilities, municipalities, construction, or engineering consultation
- Ability to work in a team environment and support fellow team members
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, communication skills, both oral and written.
- Takes initiative and can work independently with minimal direction.
