About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead all HR operations and processes including: recruiting and onboarding, payroll, performance assessments, compensation reviews and planning, benefit administration; 401(k) administration, regulatory reporting and compliance, and offboarding.
  • Champion the P31 culture, by helping staff understand and live the P31 values through aligned practices, programs and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the organizational strategy along with other key leaders.
  • Lead workforce planning, strategy and budgeting in partnership with the Executive Director of Finance & Operations.
  • Identify training needs and in partnership with the senior leadership team provide personal and professional development opportunities for the staff.
  • Provide supervisor training and support as needed to ensure compliance with external laws and internal P31 policies and procedures.
  • Develop, implement and oversee the performance assessment process.
  • Advise and assist with employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Maintain, update and advise on all HR-related policies and procedures.
  • Stay informed of current and new legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting all human resource functions and ensure that P31 policies, procedures, practices and reporting comply i.e. FLSA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, EEOC, OSHA, etc.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • An understanding of and a commitment to the mission and values of Proverbs 31 Ministries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • HRCI (PHR/SPHR) or SHRM (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) certification is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and programs.
  • Payroll and Benefits Experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding and application of change management principles.
  • Operational mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
