About the role

  • Lead a specialized strike team building at the edge of Solana’s performance frontier
  • Drive design, development, and deployment of infrastructure experiments across MEV, Staking, DeFi, and validator economics
  • Architect Solana-native programs and off-chain systems
  • Rapidly ship high-impact R&D initiatives through short, iterative development cycles
  • Collaborate across product, validator operators, and Solana ecosystem players to translate strategic priorities into technical execution
  • Mentor and level up a small team of Solana engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and sprint leadership
  • Set technical direction and execution velocity for initiatives pushing MEV optimization and validator incentive design
  • Serve as the key engineering interface with top-tier stakeholders, aligning on outcomes and scaling successful work

Requirements

  • Strong Rust programming experience, ideally in Solana or other blockchain ecosystems
  • Deep understanding of Solana architecture, validator mechanics, and ecosystem dynamics
  • Experience designing and deploying on-chain programs (smart contracts) and off-chain infrastructure systems
  • Familiarity with MEV, staking mechanisms, and validator economics
  • Proven track record of leading small engineering teams, setting technical direction, and running iterative development cycles
  • Ability to translate strategic goals into production-ready technical execution
  • Strong debugging, performance optimization, and systems-level thinking
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with validators, protocol teams, and ecosystem partners
