About the role
- Ensure the availability and correct functioning of Linux machines.
- Perform operational tasks related to the Linux system.
- Manage incidents (ownership and resolution).
- Install and update packages on systems using Ansible playbooks and Shell scripts.
- Apply security patches and remediate configuration deviations.
- Configure and tune Kernel parameters.
- Perform in-place system upgrades.
- Manage updates of physical components (firmware).
- Administer and configure Veritas clusters on Linux.
- Automate recurring operational tasks (using Ansible, Puppet and Shell scripts).
- Maintain and update content views and manage filters.
- Conduct system performance audits and tuning.
- Develop Ansible playbooks to improve Kernel patching and security processes.
- Develop Puppet manifests to correct configuration deviations.
- Use VS Code as the development environment and manage repositories and versioning with Git.
- Provide on-call support 24/7 as needed.
Requirements
- Degree from an engineering school
- At least 5 years’ experience in Linux administration and engineering in critical production environments.
- Excellent mastery of Red Hat Linux (versions 7, 8 and 9).
- Strong skills in Level 3 incident diagnosis and resolution.
- High expertise in automation and industrialization of tasks using Ansible, Puppet and Shell scripts.
- Good command of development and versioning tools, notably VS Code and Git.
- Proven experience in high availability, including administration and configuration of Veritas clusters on Linux.
- Plus: Red Hat certifications
- Plus: DevOps experience
- Professional working proficiency in English (B1–B2)
